We are thrilled to announce that Ginkgo has been shortlisted for the Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards 2024 in the Professional Service Award category! This marks the second consecutive year that we have been recognised for our contribution to the borough, and we are hopeful that this year we will take home the award at the ceremony on 7th February.
For the last seven years, The Best of Royal Greenwich Business Awards - organised by the council in association with LandsecU+I and supported by the South East London Chamber of Commerce – have been celebrating the achievements of the local business community. They recognise the efforts that business like ours make in boosting inclusive economic growth and providing opportunities and services for local people.
The local focus of this award makes it particularly important to us. Our team mostly live (or have lived) in Greenwich. Very many of our clients are local. My co-founder, Daren Wallbank, and I are both long-standing Greenwich residients. “Giving back” to the place we live in and love has always been central to the Ginkgo philosophy.
Whilst award nominations undoubtedly have an element of vanity, we hope that our existing clients and those looking for advice will take confidence and reassurance from our nomination - knowing that they are in good hands.
But most of all, this news is a well-earned testament to the hard work and dedication of our incredible team, who support our clients with jargon-free advice and exceptional customer care through every stage of their financial journey. As Daren says, “2024 wasn't the easiest year for businesses and clients, with a tough economy and tightening regulation in our industry. Despite this, everyone at Ginkgo worked really hard to improve efficiency, push the quality of our service even further, and add value for clients at every opportunity. Whether we win or not, I’m so proud of every one of them.”
