Your job in a nutshell
I make sure our advisers have all the info they need for the Annual Advice Meetings and keep client files up-to-date.
Tell me about your first paid job?
I worked as a receptionist at our local animal charity, the SPCA, in Windhoek, Namibia, after school.
What led you to where you are now?
Before moving from Namibia in 2018, I was a sales consultant at Alexander Forbes Insurance for five years. The move was challenging but worth it, and my role at Ginkgo has been super engaging. My colleagues have been amazing with their support and guidance.
What was the first thing you bought with your own money?
I bought a strong-willed but loveable chestnut mare named Samara.
What’s the most frivolous thing you’ve ever bought?
Everything equestrian you can find in a tack shop.
What three words would your friends use to describe you?
Quirky, warm, kind
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Worrying about things you can’t change is pointless. Do your best with what you have, and good things will follow.
What’s the best thing about working at Ginkgo?
I love how dedicated the team is to looking after our clients and each other. Everyone treats each other with kindness and respect. I’m proud to be part of a company that strives to do right by the client.
